Indian Army Launches 12-Day Counter-Terror Training for J&K Police

In Jammu and Kashmir, in a significant step towards strengthening operational synergy and enhancing counter-terrorism preparedness, the army’s Jammu-based Tiger Division have started a 12-day long Counter Terrorism Refresher Course for J&K Police personnel. The course was inaugurated by Additional Director General of Police (Armed), J&K, Anand Jain, along with the General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division and other senior officials of the army and J&K Police.

The programme is a specialised refresher course focusing on counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations, aimed at upgrading skills, standardising procedures, and enhancing joint operational effectiveness. This unique initiative has been designed to address the evolving security challenges in Jammu and Kashmir by improving coordination, interoperability, and tactical preparedness between security forces.
