Members of the Andhra Pradesh ST Commission, K. Malleswara Rao and K. Sairam, today visited tribal welfare educational institutions in Visakhapatnam to review facilities and interact with students.
They inspected the Tribal Welfare Gurukul Pratibha School and College for Girls, Gurukul Boys School at Marikavalasa, and the Tribal Welfare Girls’ Hostel at MVP Colony.
The commission members interacted with students and parents, shared lunch with the students, and appreciated the management and quality of food provided. They also encouraged students appearing for the ongoing Class 10 public examinations and wished them success.
At the girls’ hostel, they enquired about student welfare and facilities and distributed monthly cosmetic kits to the students. District Tribal Welfare and Empowerment officials, Gurukul principals, hostel welfare officers, and staff accompanied them during the visit.
