Another Tanker Nanda Devi Arrives Safely at Gujarat via Strait of Hormuz with 46,000 MT LPG

The LPG tanker Nanda Devi has successfully arrived at Vadinar Port in Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat. The vessel, which departed from Qatar and navigated the Strait of Hormuz, is carrying approximately 46,000 metric tons of LPG.

The unloading process has begun at the port. This arrival follows another LPG tanker reaching Mundra Port yesterday, with both shipments set to significantly bolster the national gas reserves. Authorities have reassured the public that there is currently no shortage in the gas supply chain.

Deendayal Port Authority Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh today announced the commencement of a major ship-to-ship LPG transfer operation at Vadinar. Mr Singh added that the mother vessel ‘Nanda Devi’ has arrived with 46,500 tonnes of LPG, which will be transferred to smaller vessels for delivery to Ennore and Haldia.
