Annapurna Devi to launch 100-Day awareness campaign for a child marriage-free India on December 4

Women and Child Development Minister Annpurna Devi will formally launch the 100-day awareness campaign for a Child Marriage Free Bharat tomorrow in New Delhi, marking one year of ‘the Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat’ campaign. The programme will feature the National Pledge to End Child Marriage and a film showcasing inspiring stories from across the country, and testimonies from frontline champions, celebrating collective progress and strengthening momentum for the next phase of the mission. Through this 100-day campaign, the Ministry of Women and Child Development will call upon citizens, institutions, and community leaders across the nation to join the movement and reaffirm India’s commitment to build a Child Marriage Free Bharat. It added that the national drive will be implemented in close coordination with the Ministries of Health and Family Welfare, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, and Education, for seamless collaboration and extensive grassroots reach ‘the Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat campaign was launched on 27th November previous year, which completed one year on 27th of the last month.
