A Training and Sensitization Programme for Judges and Public Prosecutors on persons with disabilities was held at the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy (APJA) in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh today. The programme was inaugurated by Justice Ravi Nath Tilhari. He spoke about the role of judges and prosecutors in handling cases involving persons with disabilities.
The training was organized under the guidance of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and in line with directions from the Ministry of Home Affairs. APJA Director C. Purushottam Kumar coordinated the event. Sessions covered sensitization and accessibility, best practices for inclusive education and adjudication, and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Experts guided participants on how to uphold the rights of persons with disabilities.
