Andhra Pradesh: Tirupati DRO Narasimhulu reviews SIR 2026 pre-revision work

In Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati District Revenue Officer Narasimhulu today reviewed the progress of pre-revision activities under SIR 2026, in line with directions from the Election Commission of India.

The review was held via video conference with Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant EROs, tahsildars, municipal commissioners and booth-level officers across all seven constituencies in the district.

Raising concern over low electoral mapping percentages, the DRO directed officials to step up efforts. Polling stations with less than 10 per cent coverage were flagged, and booth-level officers were instructed to improve performance immediately. He warned that strict action would be taken against those failing to meet targets, noting that show-cause notices had already been issued earlier to officials of underperforming booths.

Special Deputy Collectors Bharat Naik and Rosmond, along with officials from all constituencies, participated in the review.
