Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister G. Ravi Kumar Directs No Power Cuts Amid Rising Demand

Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister G. Ravi Kumar has directed officials to ensure that there are no power cuts across the state, regardless of rising electricity demand during the summer season. The Minister held a teleconference with the Chairmen and Managing Directors of power utilities to reiterate the government’s stand on uninterrupted power supply.

He said that while unseasonal rains and high temperatures may cause temporary disruptions, restoration work must begin immediately in such cases. He said, in cases where supply has to be suspended due to unavoidable technical reasons, the public must be informed in advance.
