Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired the sixth District Collectors’ Conference at the State Secretariat in Amaravati today, where officials reviewed governance priorities and development goals under the state’s long-term vision.
Ministers, senior secretaries and district collectors attended the meeting, which focused on the Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision, its ten guiding principles, Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) targets and the implementation of key programmes across districts. Discussions are also being held on public-private partnership projects, technology-driven governance through RTGS, investments, healthcare initiatives and the implementation of the “Super Six” welfare schemes.
Addressing the officials, the Chief Minister asked district administrations to ensure effective ground-level implementation of welfare and development programmes and to increase public awareness about government schemes. He said governance reviews are being conducted every three months to monitor progress while balancing welfare, development and administrative reforms with limited resources.
Mr. Naidu announced that the third instalment of the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme would be released on March 13, with both central and state funds credited to farmers’ accounts. He also said water for the upcoming Kharif season would be released from May 15.
The government plans to organise mass house-warming ceremonies for 2.5 lakh beneficiaries during the Ugadi festival and provide free bus travel for persons with disabilities under the “Indra Dhanussu” initiative. The Chief Minister also proposed establishing an Indian School of Agriculture, on the lines of the Indian School of Business, to promote innovation and advanced learning in the agriculture sector.
