Akashvani celebrated Republic Day at its headquarters in New Delhi today. On the occasion, talking to the media, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann ki Baat Programme is emerging as a platform that recognises and amplifies the positive contributions of people from every section of society across the country. He highlighted that the Mann ki Baat programme is serving as a medium to bring light to the positive work being done by the people.
The event was also attended by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan, Secretary Information and Broadcasting Sanjay Jaju, Prasar Bharti CEO Gaurav Dwivedi, along with other dignitaries.
On the occasion, Director General of Akashvani, Rajeev Kumar Jain, unfurled the National Flag at Akashvani Bhawan. Special Invitees of Prime Minister Mann Ki Baat programme, who attended the Republic Day celebration at Kartavya Path this morning, were also present in the celebration. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Padma Shri Awardee Javed Ahmad Tak said that he was featured in the Mann Ki Baat Programme, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi described him as an icon for Divyangjans.
Meanwhile, Weightlifter Asmita Dhone said that her interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Mann ki Baat Programme encouraged her to reach further heights in her sport.
