Ajman launches gaza air bridge as UAE pledges $1.2 billion at Washington meeting

Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the launch of a humanitarian air bridge to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip during Ramadan under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. The air bridge will transport food parcels, medical supplies and essential items for children and women, with charitable organisations in Ajman overseeing the assembly and distribution of consignments.

Separately, the UAE announced an additional 1.2 billion US dollars in support for Gaza at the first meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington. Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, detailed the funding as international partners outlined plans for the enclave’s future. Donald Trump said the UAE, Kazakhstan, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Kuwait had together pledged more than $7 billion towards relief efforts, adding that the United States would contribute 10 billion US dollars.
