Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, today said that clear and actionable Industry-Academia partnerships are crucial in strengthening the country’s innovation ecosystem. Addressing the CII Global Summit on Industry-Academia Partnership in New Delhi, Mr Sood said that without concrete inputs from industry, policy efforts cannot translate into real impact. He highlighted that national missions can be achieved with genuine co-creation and investment, and this will help accelerate outcomes.
He further said that the future of Research and Development in India lies in transforming collaboration into capability, and then capability into national competitiveness.
During the event, he also released the leadership report on Building India’s Innovation Backbone, Industry Academia Collaboration for Research Led Growth.
