The Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today started the series of crop-wise, state-wise meetings from the Soybean Institute in Indore. The Union minister participated in a review meeting and workshop organised in connection with soybean production at the National Soybean Research Institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in Indore. Agriculture Ministers of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and senior officials of various states were present in the meeting. Discussions on soybean production and its quality in the country are going on in the workshop.
Taking forward the experiences of the recently run ‘Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’, the Union Agriculture Minister has decided to organise special meetings on major crops. In the coming days, meetings will be organised in various states on the basis of priority.
