Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today wrote to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi accusing her of blocking the Centre’s schemes for farmers in the national capital territory. The Union Minister alleged that the Chief Minister has failed to make decisions in the best interest of the farmers. He also alleged that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had deceived farmers with unfulfilled promises, despite being in power for a decade. Mr Chauhan in his letter to Atishi said that her government has no sympathy for farmers. The Agriculture Minister said political competition should not become an obstacle to farmers’ welfare. He said farmer’s welfare is the duty of every government, irrespective of the party it belongs to. Mr Chauhan said, the Delhi Chief Minister should rise above party politics, make decisions in the interest of the farmers and provide relief to the farmers by implementing the schemes of the Central Government.
