The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 began in Dubai this morning. In the opening match of the tournament, hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE) won the toss and invited Ayush Mhatre led India to bat first.
The match is being played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also a part of the Indian side. The Men-in-Blue will face arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday.
A total of eight Asian teams will compete across two groups. India has been placed in Group A along with hosts UAE, Pakistan and Malaysia.
On the other hand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal will compete in Group B. The top 2 teams from both groups will qualify for the semi-finals. The final match will be played on the 21st of this month.
