8th India-UK ‘Ajeya Warrior’ Military Exercise Begins in Bikaner

The eighth edition of the joint military exercise “Ajeya Warrior” between India and the United Kingdom commenced on Monday at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner. This biennial exercise will continue until November 30. A total of 240 soldiers from both countries are participating in the exercise.

From India, soldiers of the Sikh Regiment are taking part. Colonel Neeraj Beniwal stated that the primary focus of the exercise is counter-terrorism operations in urban areas. It is being conducted under a United Nations mandate. The objective of the exercise is to facilitate the exchange of best combat skills and experiences between the two armies and to enhance their ability to operate together in complex situations.
