The government has said that 8.73 crore women have been screened for Cervical Cancer till date. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav stated this in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign is running at designated Government facilities to combat cervical cancer targeting eligible girls aged 14 years. The Minister said, these campaigns are running in Ayushman Aarogya Mandir, Primary Health Centers, Community Health Centers, District Hospitals and Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals.
