The government today said that seven lakh seventy two thousand kilometres of roads have been built under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana since its inception in 2002.
Replying to the supplimentaries, Minister of State in Ministry of Rural Development, Kamlesh Paswan said, it was because of this scheme that road connectivity has extended to one lakh sixty three thousand habitations in the rural areas. The Minister said, the phase 4 of this scheme aims to provide road connectivity to more than twenty five thousand habitations across the country.
