The 52nd edition of the World Book Fair, which is underway at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will culminate today. The nine-day event was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu and was organised by the National Book Trust and the India Trade Promotion Organisation. Akashvani correspondent reports that the fair brought nearly two thousand publishers and one thousand speakers.

The 52nd chapter of the Mega Book Fair will come to an end today. This year the fair was exhibited under the theme of ‘We the People of India,’ commemorating 75 years of the Republic of India with Russia being the focus country. The nine-day event hosted more than fifty countries, including France, Argentina, Spain, and Colombia, besides bringing together nearly two thousand publishers and one thousand speakers. From educational books and novels to biographies and comic books, the fair showcased a plethora of books from different genres. Author discussions, book launches, literary sessions, and cultural programs, among others, added to the experience of the visitors.
