The 44th India International Trade Fair concluded today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The theme of the fair this year was Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat. On the last day of the fair, award presentation function was held for various categories. In the category of Partner states, Rajasthan bagged Gold, while Jharkhand grabbed gold in the focus state category. In the state and UTs category, Odisha won the gold, Madhya Pradesh got silver and Puducherry was awarded bronze. In the Ministries and Departments category, the Ministry of Defence clinched Gold and the Ministry of Mines was awarded silver.
Talking to Akashvani News, Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) Dr Neeraj said that this year, more than 18 lakh people visited the fair. Dr Neeraj added that ITPO aims to organise an even better fair in the upcoming session by incorporating visitors’ feedback.
Over three thousand 500 exhibitors from India and several foreign countries including China, Egypt, Iran, South Korea, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates participated in the fair. State and UT pavilions such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Rajasthan, Gujarat and others showcased their flagship products and innovations. Many stalls offered heavy discounts on the final day, which saw a large footfall despite being a working day. Visitors enjoyed cultural programmes, regional cuisines and shopping with friends and family.
