In Jammu and Kashmir, the Doda district administration, in collaboration with the 4 Rastriya Rifles regiment of the army and Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), will be organising “Snow Marathon-Run for Martyrs” today. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the Snow Marathon aims to pay tribute to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation, promoting a spirit of patriotism and unity among participants. The event carries the theme “Feel the Snow, Feel the Pride” and encourages citizens to join the run for honour and patriotism. The Snow Marathon will cover a distance of 5 kilometres. The race will commence from the Chinta area of Bhaderwah at 9 AM and conclude at Jai Ghati. Participants will be awarded medals and certificates, and attractive prizes have also been announced. All the arrangements, including security, medical facilities, route management, snow clearance and coordination among departments, are in place to ensure smooth conduct of the event. The administration is making all efforts to make the Snow Marathon a grand success and a memorable tribute to the nation’s heroes.
