Six Kanwariyas died and 24 were injured in a road accident near Jamunia Chowk in Mohanpur block on the Deoghar-Hansdiha road early this morning. A bus carrying 32 pilgrims collided head-on with a truck. Deputy Commissioner Deoghar Naman Priyesh Lakra said four Kanwariyas died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries later. Eight critically injured are receiving treatment at Hospitals. The pilgrims were en route to offer prayers at Baba Baidyanathdham temple during the Shravan month. Victims hail from the Gaya and Jehanabad districts of Bihar.
