The third edition of the International Purple Festival began in Panaji, Goa today. Known as India’s first international and inclusive festival celebrating Persons with Disabilities, the event aims to highlight empowerment, accessibility, and social integration.
Addressing the gathering, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar congratulated the Goa government for organising a festival of international standards dedicated to inclusive development. He emphasized the need to integrate Persons with Disabilities into the mainstream of national growth.
Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Ramdas Athawale, and Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik graced the inaugural event along with other dignitaries.
