39th Surajkund International Self-Reliance Festival concludes with grand ceremony

The 39th Surajkund International Self-Reliance Festival concluded today with a grand and dignified ceremony in Surajkund, Faridabad. The festival, which began on the 31st of last month, celebrated India’s rich tradition of handicrafts, handlooms, and folk culture, drawing participants and visitors from across the country and abroad.

Addressing the closing ceremony as Chief Guest, Haryana Governor Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh described the Festival as a strong and vibrant reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India. He said the festival is inspired by the mantra “From Local to Global – Self-Reliant India” and has played a significant role in giving international recognition to local artisans and craftspeople. 
 
During the ceremony, artisans, handicraft experts, and artists from India and overseas were honoured for their outstanding performances and contributions.
