A total of 33 Maoists have surrendered in two different districts of Chhattisgarh today. A reward of about 90 lakh rupees was declared on them. 24 Maoists surrendered in Bijapur district of the state.
District Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Yadav said that all these surrendered Maoists are accused of being involved in incidents like firing, IED blast and arson.
Meanwhile, in Dantewada district also, 09 Maoists have surrendered before the police today. A reward of three and a half lakh rupees was declared on four of these Maoists.All the surrendered Maoists have been provided an incentive amount of fifty thousand rupees each under the rehabilitation policy of the state government.
