In Punjab, three persons have died and five were injured in a road accident when two cars and a tractor-trolley collided at Batala late last night. Those who died include a tractor driver and two passengers.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Harkrishan said that those injured were taken to a government hospital, from where three went back home after receiving first aid. One is said to be critical
