2nd Test: India lead by 244 runs against England  in the second innings

In Cricket, India will resume their second innings on day 4 of the second Test with an overnight score of 64 for 1 and a commanding overall lead of 244 runs against hosts England at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM IST.

 

At stumps on Day 3, Indian batters KL Rahul and Karun Nair were unbeaten at the crease, anchoring India’s strong position in the match.

 

Earlier in the day, Indian pacers dominated the proceedings with Mohammed Siraj claiming six wickets and Akash Deep picking up four, bundling out England for 407 in their first innings.

 

Despite a resilient effort from England’s batters Jamie Smith scoring a brilliant 184 off 207 balls and Harry Brook contributing a solid 158 off 234 but fell short to match India’s massive first-innings total of 587 runs.

 

England leads the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 1-0, having won the first Test by five wickets at Headingley, Leeds.
