The second Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Young Authors’ Conference culminated today in New Delhi with a meaningful dialogue on Creativity in the Digital Age. The two-day conference was organised by the Ministry of Education in association with the Ministry of External Affairs. During the conference, participants deliberated on the transformative impact of digitalisation on literature, cinema, music, art, culture, radio, and television.
The discussions underscored the dual responsibility of young creators to embrace technological tools that expand creative frontiers while safeguarding the richness of cultural heritage. Participants highlighted the importance of bridging the digital divide, strengthening intellectual property protections, and encouraging collaborative projects among SCO nations. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy Sanjay Kumar underlined the civilisational connection among the SCO Member States through shared literature and culture. He stressed the need to embrace books as a tool of learning, while keeping up with the advancements of technology.
