Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 25 crore people have been lifted from the below poverty. He said this after releasing a book titled ModiNomics: A Journey of Inclusive Growth, in New Delhi today. The Minister said that the book captures 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service, from Gujarat Chief Minister to India’s Prime Minister and his transformative journey. Mentioning schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Mr Murugan said that these schemes are being implemented for the welfare of the people. He also highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, India became the 4th largest economy of the world.
Speaking at the event, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Sanjay Jaju emphasised the need for documentation and research to highlight the positive impact of schemes implemented by the government.
The book highlights the definitive account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance and economic philosophy.
