16th edition of Joint Special Forces Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR between India & US begins today

The 16th edition of the Joint Special Forces Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR between India and the United States began today in Himachal Pradesh. It will continue till the 16th of next month. In a statement, the Defence Ministry highlighted that the exercise is being held at the Special Forces Training School in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh. The Indian Army is represented by 45 personnel from its Special Forces units, while the United States has fielded 12 personnel from the Green Berets of the US Special Forces.

The exercise aims to enhance military cooperation between India and the United States by improving interoperability, jointness and exchange of special operations tactics.
