120-Member Commonwealth Parliamentary Delegation Arrives in Jaipur

A 120-member parliamentary delegation from 40 Commonwealth countries arrived in Jaipur today on a two-day visit. The delegates visited the iconic Amer Fort, where they were given a traditional Rajasthani welcome. The fort’s majestic architecture, vibrant cultural display and folk music left the visitors deeply impressed.

The delegation was briefed on the fort’s Rajput-era history and explored key structures including Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Ganesh Pol, Sheesh Mahal and Man Singh Palace. The intricate mirror work of the Sheesh Mahal and the scenic views of Maota Lake especially fascinated the guests, who praised Amer as a living symbol of India’s cultural heritage.

The delegation, comprising Speakers, Members and senior parliamentary officials of Commonwealth nations, was welcomed at Jaipur International Airport by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani. During their stay, they will also visit other historical and cultural sites of the city.
