The five day 11th India International Science Festival (IISF) is being organised in Panchkula, from tomorrow. This year’s theme is “Science for Prosperity: Towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat”. The science festival aims to promote scientific temper and innovation, while inspiring young people to contribute to the field of science and technology.
Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma said that this is the first time this prestigious event is being held in North India. Thousands of students, young researchers, and science enthusiasts from various states of India will participate in this science festival. Senior scientists and researchers from ISRO, DRDO, and other leading scientific institutions will also be present and participate in various sessions and interactive programs. He added that it will include interactive sessions among scientists and various public outreach activities aligned with national needs.
