11th India International Science Festival begins at Dussehra Ground, Panchkula

The first session of the 11th India International Science Festival – IISF, organised by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, started today at Dussehra Ground, Panchkula. Soon, Union Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will formally inaugurate it today. 
 
 
On this occasion, Astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla shared his experiences with the students and young scientists. He said that the science sector in India is progressing a lot. It is quite inspiring for Indians that India is becoming self-reliant in the field of science. He also expressed his views on India in space. 
 
 
 
It is noteworthy that this time IISF is being organised on the theme “Science to Prosperity: For Self-reliant India”. The objective of the Science Festival is to promote a scientific approach and innovation and to inspire the youth to contribute to the field of science and technology.
 
 
 
Thousands of students, young researchers and science lovers from different states of India are participating in this science festival. Besides, senior scientists and researchers from ISRO, DRDO and other leading scientific institutions have also arrived, who will participate in various sessions and dialogue programs. The Mahotsav will also include interactive sessions among scientists and various public relations activities as per national needs.
