President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief at the loss of lives due to a fire mishap at Vivek Vihar area of Shahdara in Delhi. They have extended condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees from PM’s National Relief Fund to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given 50 thousand rupees.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has condoled the loss of lives in the fire incident in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar. In a social media post, the Home Minister called the incident extremely heartbreaking and said that the local administration is providing the highest level of medical facilities to the injured. He also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured.
