Vice President CP Radhakrishnan meets Sri Lankan President Dissanayake 

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan met Sri Lanka’s President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo today. The two leaders held wide-ranging and productive discussions aimed at further strengthening the multifaceted ties between the two countries. During the meeting, Mr Radhakrishnan reaffirmed India’s commitment to its Neighbourhood First policy, emphasizing continued cooperation for mutual growth and development. Both sides also reviewed ongoing initiatives, including the Indian Housing Project, and ongoing works under the 450 million US dollar assistance package supporting areas affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
 
Mr Radhakrishnan also met Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Dr Harini Amarasuriya. Both leaders discussed the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties, including people-to-people bonds.
 
Vice President Radhakrishnan is also scheduled to meet leaders of the Tamil community and interact with community members and the diaspora. The visit underscores the steady momentum in bilateral engagement between the two countries.
