On the occasion of Earth Day, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan has urged everyone to reaffirm their commitment to protect and preserve the planet. In a social media post, he said that India’s civilizational ethos has long upheld harmony with nature. Mentioning a quote by Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar, the Vice President said that ‘Diversified biodiversity’ means caring for all living beings through mindful and shared use of resources.

 

Vice President Radhakrishnan advised the countrymen to adopt sustainable lifestyles and work together for a greener, cleaner future, as climate change and environmental challenges confront the world today. He further underlined that the planet should not just be honoured today but every day, as every small step matters.
