Vice President C P Radhakrishnan today extended his greetings to Team ISRO on the successful launch of LVM3-M6, carrying the US spacecraft BlueBird Block-2. In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan lauded the launch of the heaviest satellite ever from Indian soil into Low Earth Orbit. He highlighted the country’s leadership in space technology, strengthening heavy-lift capability, and reinforcing the expanding role in the global commercial launch market. The Vice President added that this achievement is a proud stride towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat, with India continuing to soar higher in space.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the successful launch of the LVM3-M6 mission, which carried the United States’ next-generation BlueBird Block-2 communication satellite into Low Earth Orbit (LEO). In a series of social media posts, the Prime Minister said that the successful LVM3-M6 launch, placing the heaviest satellite ever launched from Indian soil, the spacecraft of the USA, BlueBird Block-2, into its intended orbit, marks a proud milestone in India’s space journey.
Prime Minister Modi called it a significant stride in India’s space sector. He said, it strengthens India’s heavy-lift launch capability and reinforces India’s growing role in the global commercial launch market. The Prime Minister further emphasised that the achievement is also reflective of India’s efforts towards an Aatmanirbhar Bharat as the nation continues to soar higher in the world of space. He extended wishes to the hardworking space scientists and engineers of the nation.
In another social media post, Prime Minister Modi said, powered by India’s youth, the country’s space programme is getting more advanced and impactful. He said, with LVM3 demonstrating reliable heavy-lift performance, ISRO is strengthening the foundations for future missions such as Gaganyaan, expanding commercial launch services and deepening global partnerships. He added that this increased capability and boost to self-reliance are wonderful for the coming generations.
