Vice President C.P.Radhakrishnan today paid floral tributes to freedom fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalingar on his 118th birthday. Speaking at the event organised on the occasion, he said that Muthuramalingar had given away most of his lands and fortune to the Independence movement.
The Vice President asserted that he wanted to treat everyone equally and was a confidante of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. He said that his contributions to the freedom movement were remarkable and are to be remembered by future generations. The Vice President’s visit to the State will conclude today.
