In Uttarakhand, the portals of Kedarnath Temple, the eleventh Jyotirlinga located in Rudraprayag district, will be opened for devotees on 22nd of April this year.
The announcement was made on Maha Shivaratri today after Panchang calculations at the winter seat, Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.
On the occasion, the Chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Hemant Dwivedi, extended his greeting to devotees and invited them to the Char Dham Yatra.
He stated that preparations for the pilgrimage will now be further accelerated following the announcement of the opening date.
According to the Temple Committee, the Panchmukhi Doli of Lord Kedarnath will depart from Ukhimath on the 19th of April, reach Gaurikund on the 20th of April, and arrive at Kedarnath Dham on the 21st of April.
The temple portals will then be opened with traditional rituals at 8 AM on the 22nd of April.
