US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Visit India from May 23 to 26

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be on a four-day visit to India from 23rd May. This will be his first visit to India. The US Department of State announced the visit.

State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said that during his visit from 23rd to 26th May, Mr Rubio will travel to Kolkata, Agra, Jaipur and New Delhi. He said Mr Rubio will discuss energy, security, trade and defence cooperation during meetings with senior Indian officials.

The US embassy in New Delhi has said that Mr Rubio would attend the Quad meeting on 26th May along with the meeting of the ‘Quad’ group, which includes Australia, Japan and the United States.

In a post on X, the embassy said it looks forward to welcoming him for his first visit to India, the ministerial Quad meeting, high-level engagements and celebrations marking 250 years of America.
