United States President Donald Trump says, Israel will lose all of its support from the US if it annexed the West Bank. Mr Trump in an interview published today in the American news magazine TIME said that Israeli annexation of the West Bank won’t happen because he had given his word to the Arab countries. Mr Trump said, he stopped Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from fighting in Gaza, a war he said would have continued for years without his pressure on Mr. Netanyahu. In the interview, Mr Trump described Israel’s strike on Hamas negotiators in Doha, Qatar, as terrible and a tactical mistake by Mr. Netanyahu. But Mr Trump said, the outrage over the attack was one of the things that brought them all together to ultimately deliver the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance who was visiting Israel said that President Trump would oppose Israeli annexation of the occupied West Bank and it would not happen.
