Union minister Manohar Lal has said that the Centre’s newly introduced Vikshit Bharat Guaranteed for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) VB-G RAM G Act plugs the gaps in MGNREGA, and benefits the rural workers and farmers. He accused the Congress of spreading misinformation among people about the new scheme.

 

Addressing the media in Ranchi today, the Minister said that there was large-scale corruption in the earlier MGNREGA scheme and the UPA-era scheme lacked audits and accountability for the works undertaken. He said the new scheme will check corruption and leakages and improve accountability. The Minister stressed that it will make rural employment a means of sustainable development.
