Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia chaired a meeting of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee of the Telecom Research Standardisation and Innovation Committee in New Delhi. In a social media post, Mr Scindia said that the meeting focused on key use cases of Captive Non-Public Networks and their applications. He noted that these networks can enable faster and more reliable connectivity, promote innovation, and strengthen digital infrastructure for both citizens and enterprises.
The Minister added that discussions were also held on the Smart Intelligent Village project led by the industry, along with its potential synergy with the Department of Telecommunications’ Samriddh Gram initiative. The Minister highlighted that these efforts align with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by promoting inclusive and locally driven rural transformation.
