Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia arrives in Nagaland for three-day visit

Union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia has arrived in Nagaland today on a three-day visit to the state. 
 
 
On his arrival at the Dimapur Airport, Mr Scindia said Nagaland represents diversity, capability, and immense potential for all of India. 
 
 
Expressing his honor at being present for the Hornbill Festival, he described it as a testament to the great potential, history, and culture of our state of Nagaland.
 
 
He noted that the Prime Minister remains firmly committed to ensuring all-round development and progress for the Northeast. 
He said, the  Act East, Act Fast, and Act First policy,has yielded significant dividends for the region. 
 
 
The Union Minister said, with  10 percent of the gross budgetary support amounting to over a lakh crore rupees annually being directed to the Northeast, numerous developmental projects have been implemented, unlocking the potential of what the Prime Minister calls Ashta Lakshmi, the eight states of the Northeast.
 
 
Mr Scindia further said, he joins the people of Nagaland in this moment of celebration celebrating their history, their past, their present, and the immense potential of Nagaland’s future.
During his stay, Mr Scindia will attend the traditional stone-pulling ceremony in Touphema village tomorrow m, held as part of the ongoing Hornbill Festival. He will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several ministry projects. 
 
 
As part of the tour, the Minister is scheduled to join the Hornbill festivities at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama and also visit the Heirloom Naga Centre in Dimapur.
