Union Minister Dr. L. Murugan visits IIMC Kottayam, interacts with students

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L. Murugan visited the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in Kottayam today. During his visit, the Minister interacted with the students, and he enquired about their career interests and creative aptitudes. He highlighted the rapidly evolving nature of the media industry, stating that the visual media sector offers endless possibilities.

He encouraged the students to sharpen their skills and effectively utilise these opportunities to build up successful careers. He pointed out that India has emerged as a global hub for post production work, with cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad handling significant portions of post production work for Hollywood films. After visiting the Comm-Museum of the institute, the Union Minister planted a sapling on the campus under the Ek-Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
