Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav today chaired the Central Pollution Control Board review meeting in New Delhi. In a social media post, Mr Yadav said that the discussion was held concerning the Extended Producer Responsibility- EPR Portal, and the EPR Electronic trading platform.
They also discussed the ways of effectively implementing the guidelines for managing waste from products such as plastics, e-waste, or batteries, and ensuring compliance. He highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is working to make the circular economy the hallmark of policy for a sustainable Earth. Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh also attended the meeting.
