Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that the India-EU Trade Deal opens vast opportunities for the country’s electronics sector. In a social media post, the Minister said the agreement will catalyse investment-led growth, strengthen manufacturing across semiconductors, laptops and industrial equipment, and promote design, Research and Development and skill development. Mr Vaishnaw said that the deal is in line with Prime Narendra Modi’s vision to make India a global electronics hub.
