UIDAI Records 231 Crore Aadhaar Authentications in November

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recorded two hundred 31 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions in November, marking an 8.47 percent increase during the same period last year. The Ministry of Electronics and IT highlighted that this is indicative of the growing usage of Aadhaar, as well as the growth of the digital economy in the country.

The Ministry added that the Aadhaar Face Authentication solutions are also witnessing consistent traction, highlighting that nearly 60 percent of the digital life certificates generated by pensioners during November used Aadhaar face authentication. It also noted that e-KYC transactions during November registered a significant jump, with over forty-seven crore such transactions recorded during the month.

UIDAI said that the growing usage shows how Aadhaar has been playing the role of a facilitator for effective welfare delivery and voluntarily availing services offered by service providers.
