In Madhya Pradesh, a tragic accident took place this evening at the Bargi Dam in Jabalpur when a cruise boat carrying tourists capsized near Khamaria Island after it was hit by a sudden storm and strong waves. Around 30 tourists were on board at the time of the incident. So far, 4 people have been confirmed dead, while 15 others have been rescued safely. Several people are still reported missing. Teams from the SDRF, Police and the Home Guard are conducting a large-scale rescue operation at the site. Collector Raghvendra Singh and Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay are personally present at the spot, overseeing the relief and rescue efforts.
