The Tourism Ministry will establish city-level Convention Promotion Bureaus from next year to boost the country’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism ecosystem. Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Suman Billa, today made this announcement while inaugurating the IEIA EventTech and MarTech Summit 2025 in New Delhi. He said that various states across India are unlocking tourism opportunities in their own unique ways under the ‘Incredible India’ campaign to place India prominently on the global MICE map. Mr Billa said the establishment of professional City MICE Bureaus will act as a single facilitator for permissions and local partnerships, forming the backbone of a national MICE strategy.
