In view of the heavy summer vacation rush, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made extensive arrangements to provide better facilities for pilgrims. TTD said engineering works worth two crore rupees have been taken up, including installation of shaded shelters from Bhatagangamma Circle to Gogarbham Dam Circle and along the Outer Ring Road. Additional shelters were arranged at Vaikuntham Queue Complex-2, the Museum premises and Narayanagiri Gardens. Cooling paint has been applied in queue lines and on the four Mada Streets to reduce heat. The Health Department has deployed volunteers to supply drinking water continuously and intensified sanitation measures in queue lines and public areas. A total of 16 medical centres, along with mobile first-aid units on queue routes and at Narayanagiri Gardens, have been made available.
